Impact of Depositional Facies and Petrophysical Parameters on the Estimated Hydrocarbon-in-place Volume of a Producing Field in the Niger Delta Basin, Nigeria

The need to identify the major parameter with an overwhelming impact on estimated hydrocarbon volume has been a challenge for stakeholders in oil and gas industry. To address this challenge, investigation of depositional facies petrophysical parameters was carried out field located within Niger Delta using 3D geologic models. Different modeling techniques were employed study; each technique produced hydrocarbon. Uncertainty analysis based Facies their by varying at time while repeating volumetric estimation check volume. Thereafter, sensitivity run determine most Three lithofacies; clean sand, shaly shale, three sands bodies; D_1000, D_2000, D_3000 identified available gamma ray log. Results from Petrophysical evaluation showed that average porosity values reservoirs ranged between 0.20% 0.225%, water saturation 21% 40%, respectively. fault cuts through may have caused disappearance reservoir wells X-002 X-014.
